Lesson of the day
Don't be afraid to ask for help. People in the world are generally good and willing to help. Sometimes I let my introversion win, but I've learned it's a lot easier and less stressful in the long run to just ask for help.

The hype is real. Bamboo is awesome!
I have discovered a new kind of love The love of bamboo knitting needles. Last year when Robert's Craft went out of business, they had a huge sale that I gleefully took advantage of. I got a pile of bamboo Clover Takumi needles in various sizes and forms and put them in my needle storage bin. Last night I decided to give them a try.
I am in love. The hype is real. These are fantastic!
They are incredibly smooth so the yarn glides easily on the needle. I didn't have to worry about dropping stitches the way I do when I work with aluminium needles. If I could afford it, I'd buy multiple sets in every size.

Le Christmas Beret
Here it is! At long last, a photo of the Christmas beret I knit for my mom.
I used skeinsandsteins lovely slouchy springtime beret pattern, and it turned out much better than I expected it to. I was worried that it would be too small (as multiple people complained about on Ravelry), but my gauge adjustments proved fruitful, and it turned out perfectly sized.
I love it. My mom loves it. Voila!

Cat sweaters
| My kitty smiles in approval |
Why?
Because I'm cruel.
No, really, it's because she's still pulling out her fur. And it's really cold and snowy and she insists on going outside.
I haven't decided on a pattern yet, but I'll probably use Christine Landry's "Cat's Love Sweaters" pattern.
Now to measure her...and probably get attacked.
Sometimes I remember that I have a blog. Sometimes I write in it. Today I will do both.
I have a pattern of writing in my blog a few times and then completely neglecting it. I know I say this every year, but I promise to at least try to post once in a while. It might even do me some good.
